Sometimes, between life's rainbows and sunny days, there are somber occasions, the likes of which Coco and Colette attend reflectively but no less stylishly. This sad occasion was the memorial service for Colette's very loved and very graceful great-Aunt Libby. She was a beautiful woman with a heart the size of Texas who was dedicated to her church, her family, and her friends. Some of Colette's favorite memories werte watching Libby care for her pet parakeet who would whistle and sing for visitors. And there are lots of other memories, too, like the giant, golden rabbit she'd hide on Easter, the way her kitchen smelled like cloves, and how her lips turned up when she welcomed you. Colette, amidst some tears, shared these memories with Coco, who offered her a tissue and nodded sympathetically, understanding that grace and beauty are born of the heart and should be practiced often.
