Coco and Colette don't tend to experience holiday cheer until at least December first, and they surely don't participate in any black Friday craziness. They hear about it on T.V. and from some colleagues at the water cooler, but they don't understand the allure of battling heinous crowds in the wee hours of the night. Now, it can be said that the gals can learn a thing or two about saving money instead of spending it, but you'd never convince them, so don't bother trying. (They're quite stubborn.)
The girls are supportive of Small Business Saturday, however, and make a point to patronize the little shops in the Central West End on their way to the Chase for a movie. They love Cassie's for lotions and candles and Left Bank Books for the newest reads. They'll buy wine at The Vino Gallery or Brennan's and chocolates at Bissingers. Colette is a regular at The Golden Grocer for her Teeccino, incense, and Argon Oil which she swears solves every problem one can have with a troublesome complexion.
As they made their rounds, they looked especially cute in their weekend attire. One might argue that heeled boots aren't the wisest choice for a day of shopping, but like I already told you, these girls are stubborn and will always choose fashion over function. Plus, it was worth it. Coco ran into one of her enemies from middle school in Bissingers, and though she played it cool, "Oh goodness! How are you, stranger?" and faked like she was over all the drama of yesteryear, Colette knew better. After they left the scene, Colette gave her buddy the look that said, "Your boots are way more stylish than hers." Coco just flashed a wry grin as she sauntered along her merry way.
